Cookie policy
No cookies, so no banner
The short version. This website, Noriba's live-data service (api.noriba.dev) and the Noriba app set no cookies, and use no similar technologies to track you or remember you between visits. That's why you don't see a cookie banner here: there's nothing to agree to.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser so it can recognize you later. "Similar technologies" do the same job in other ways, such as browser storage, tracking pixels, device fingerprinting and the analytics or advertising code inside apps. Privacy laws such as the EU and UK ePrivacy rules require websites and apps to ask your permission before using any of these, unless they're strictly necessary for something you asked for.

Cloudflare's security cookies
Our website and live-data service run on Cloudflare, which protects them from attacks. If Cloudflare's bot protection ever has to challenge a visitor, it can set a strictly necessary security cookie, such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance, to remember that the check was passed. These cookies don't track you across websites, and the law doesn't require consent for them. At present our setup doesn't set them: we last checked every page and the live-data service on 2026-10-26 and found no cookies at all.
Other websites
We don't embed content from other websites, so no one else can set cookies through ours. If you follow a link to another site, such as Sound Transit's or Apple's, that site's own cookie policy applies.
Your choices
Because we don't use cookies, there's nothing to switch off. You can still see, delete and block cookies in your browser's settings; on iPhone, that's Settings, then Apps, then Safari. Your browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control setting is respected as described in our Privacy Policy.
If this changes
If we ever want to use a cookie or similar technology that isn't strictly necessary, such as analytics, we'll update this policy first, and ask for your permission before setting it, with a choice that's as easy to refuse as to accept. You'll be able to change your mind at any time.
